[Orientation] Straight
[Personality Profile]
Shale is a very smart individual. Graduated high school at the age of 16, university at 21. In school, he had the personality and looks to be popular but was content with having a select few best friends. Has a dry, sarcastic sense of humour, but rarely laughs himself.
He seems very calm, but he harbors an insane hate for the infected, smokers in particular. This blinding rage surfaces very rarely, his qualms few and far between. He fears the witch immensely, having watched one tear both his sisters to pieces. He reacts quickly to situations and picks up on everything happening around him. Is fiercely protected of his ever present, ever faithful dog, tucker.
[History Report]
Shale and his family were at the park, partaking in a yearly family tradition when the infection struck. Shale's dog tucker suddenly let out a loud howl and bolted over a hill. Shale and his brother, Sam, chased after him. They found tucker standing over a body in a small grouping of tree's. Shale and Sam flipped the rotting body over and saw its insane face. They instantly knew that it wasn't a regular human. That was when the screams started.
The brothers, along with Tucker, ran back to the picnic area to find total chaos. They witnessed a screaming hunter fly through the air and smash into their father. Another soon followed suit, pinning their uncle to the ground. They saw their mother and grandparents lying bloody on the ground, surrounded by more of the same kind of wierd, demi-human that they found under the tree's moments before. They saw their aunt, constricted by a smoker, being choked. And worst of all, they saw their two young sisters, running towards them with horror in their eyes, only to be cut down by a rampaging witch who appeared from the edge of the park. Everyone was dead in seconds, and Shale had only one thought on is mind. Save his brother and dog. They ran.
Days later, they had taken shelter on the roof of a local hunting and fishing supply store. Shale, armed with a rifle and a pistol from underneath the desk of the store, watched over his brother and dog. Countless undead rummaged around on the ground, but either they didn't notice or didn't care about the two men on the roof above them. They stayed on the roof for days, until the worst happened. Shale was checking the downstairs, Tucker at his side, making sure no zombies were sneaking up on them. That was when they heard the scream. They were up the stairs in a flash, only to find Sam, his neck broken, hanging from the roof across the street. Shale instantly leveled his rifle and fired at the smoker holding his beloved brother. The smoker exploded and his brother fell, dead long before he hit the ground. In the ensuing moments, Shale went on a rage, killing every infected on the ground he could see, all the while finally weeping for his lost family. Hours later, when night fell, Shale and Tucker were alone.
Shale, his eye still wet, watched as more zombies came bursting out of the building and onto the street below. He leveled his rifle to fire again, when suddenly shots exploded from the left. A small group of people, armed with guns, appeared at the top of a manhole. Shale watched, interested. The group advanced quickly, searching the alleys and rooftops. When they glanced towards his roof, he ducked low and remained still. Satisfied they didn't see him, he peeked over the rooftop again. The group continued down the street towards the hospital. I wonder where they're going, he thought to himself. A huge beast charged out of the shadows. The events that followed were confusing at best. They ended with the the beast running away and one of the group badly hurt. The group ran into the hospital and disappeared through a red door. All was silent, and nothing moved. Shale stayed still for a few more minutes, then spotted movement. There was an ambulance outside the hospital, and a figure stumbled out of it. It was obviously a female, and human. She limped and stumbled towards the red door, then crashed against it. The door was quickly opened and she was carried inside. All of a sudden, for reasons he didn't know, he thought of Kass. Kass Montgomery. The girl he had loved in high school, and his best friend at the time. He hadn't seen her in years. He suddenly missed her immensely, and wondered if she could possibly still be alive. He was confused. For what reason in hell was he thinking of her at a time like this? After waiting for even longer, another man came and entered the red door. A second followed a while after. Thats it, thought shale. They're going somewhere, and i'm going to find out where. He called for tucker, and they advanced down the stairs and onto the street. And so we go, he said aloud.
And so we go.
