I stayed in the shadows, trying to not make noise. I looked toward the man who we had just encountered. He seemed nearly insane, but he seemed to come out of his delusions when the woman came around the corner. Remaining in the shadows i watched as they talked. I could not understand them but figured they were talking about things that had happened to them, but i didn't know so i simply stayed in my shadow.

"Yeah, although since a lot of humans tend to gather there, the infected like to keep a close watch on them. But basically we are using them for checkpoints. It's quiet now, it's best for us to get moving." I shuffled through my bag, and pulled out a pipe bomb I had made earlier. "This should take care of anything that gives us some minor trouble." I smirked. "Come on boys." I stepped through the window and tossed the pipe bomb down the street, zombies appearing out of nowhere to chase it. As they did, I pulled out my pistols and ran down the middle of the empty road, only strewn with litter.

My passion for destruction reemerged. Watching the pipe bomb bounce across the street, the infected gathered around it. Once it exploded, it sent pieces of blood, bones, and guts flying. It was a sight to behold. Following close behind Zoey, I took another look at her ass, and sighed a deep sigh. Turning my attention away, I followed her down the street, and past a car with a blinking light. In front of us stood a 2 floor building. I motioned towards the rooftops as I noticed a pair of eyes watching us.

Sure enough, they ran ahead, leaving me behind. Zoey tossed a pipebomb into the center of the street, causing all of the zombies to rush towards their doom. Francis ran beside her as the middle of the street seemed to have bloomed in a macabre display of red and pink. It was beautiful to me, but I would not want to share such taste with the others yet.
We reached a building, a pawn shop, when Francis suddenly made a gesture towards the roof. It was a clumsy one but I understood it well enough. I saw those eyes peer at us from the shadows behind the vents. "Look out!" I cried, my trained hand had already pulled the revolver from its holster. I did not need to take aim as I fired a shot without hesitation, the gray gun recoiling powerfully in my hand.

I turned and watched Paul pull out his gun and shoot where Francis had indicated. It was a flawless shot and defiantly hit its target. The body flopped down on to an orange car. All was silent for a moment, and then an alarm pierced through the night, coming from that sinister orange vehicle. "Run, RUN!" I ran back to Paul, grabbed his arm and dragged him in to the pawn shop with Francis. Francis peeled open the big steel door as a sea of zombies swept towards us. "SHUT IT!" I screamed at him as we all stumbled in the room. I fell to the ground and shot the zombies around Francis' feet as he pushed against the door to close it as the zombies reached us.
There were thuds against the steel door as it was finally shut as the mindless zombies ran head first against it. They screamed in horror trying to break down the door, or course to no avail. Francis set up a barricade as I lifted myself on to the couch and took deep breaths, trying to calm myself down and regain my composure. I holstered my weapon and smiled. "Damn, we're good."

Pushing the door was no easy task. Shoving away zombie body parts from the bottom part of the door, I eventually got it closed. Resting the barricade in it's resting place, I took a deep breath. Sitting down on the floor, I took deep breaths, and eventually layed back on the floor and closed my eyes. I had not slept in days. I honestly didn't find the time. I had only rested for a few minutes before I found Zoey. Perhaps it was time for a nap. Without warning, I passed out in the floor from lack of sleep.

Everything happened so quickly I could not manage to piece it together properly. I found myself outside one moment and the next inside some room with zombies pounding on the door. Francis was on the ground, and I instantly began to worry. When I touched him, I found him to be asleep, so I left him. Zoey, meanwhile, was on the couch smiling, for gods know why.
I sat next to her, pulling out my Colt as I did. Opening the cylinder, I pulled out the empty round and fumbled in my pocket for a new one. "So," I began, "how did you end up with him, ehn? Dosen't seem like you two were together before all of this started happening..." The spent casing made a small clang as it hit the cement floor.

I looked towards Paul and brushed a few strands of hair from my face. He asked how we met... and it made me think back on the previous safe-room incident. I bit my lip in frustration and then laughed again. "He saved me a few miles from here in an apartment complex. I was jumped by a hunter. We kind of just stuck together since. He saves me I save him. It helps in a bind." I sighed and then laid down on the couch, "He's an okay guy... just... kind of... mean..." I smiled, falling in to a deep sleep, exhausted.

I saw as they went into the safe room, the horde of zombies that clawed and scratched at the door jumped, I Jumped onto the roof of the building it was in and crossed to the other side. I eventually jumped back to the floor in front of the safe room. I looked around trying to figure out what i felt. It felt like someone was watching me, but felt more like a few eyes watching me. I couldn't see anyone or anything near by me. I questioned my senses but couldn't shake the feeling.

Waking up several hours later. I sat up and looked around. The infected banging on the door had not given up. They did not do anything to the door. Sitting up I looked around. Zoey was asleep on the couch. She shuddered in her sleep. Taking a spare jacket out of my bag, I covered her. She ceased her shuddering instantly. Looking over towards Paul, he was propped up against the wall, looking outwards into the night. We were in an alley, and there was not much to see outside.

"Glad to hear you are awake." I told him without moving. His breathing told of his waking. It was still night, the clouds seemed to have prevented any sunlight from us.
Nothing was outside the alley way, but I suspected that something was out there. Waiting for its chance.
Bidding its time.

I heard the voices of my comrades through my dreams, and was slowly brought up from the darkness of my comfortable sleep. I had a coat draped over me, and it slid down as I sat up, rubbing my eyes lightly. "Is it time to go...?" I whispered. My eyelids fluttered as I looked up at Francis and then over to Paul. I jumped as I heard zombies pound on the door again, gripping the jacket to my chest. "Yeah, we better not stay here for too long." I quietly wondered how long I was out, but brushed it aside and gathered my things, putting on the large coat because I was freezing. It covered me at least 3 times over, much to big for me. But it was warm. "Let's go...?"

Grasping my new rifle in my hands, I looked out of the door. Pushing it slowly open I took a quick look around. Finding nothing, It was eeire. "Come on, let's go. Watch your back."
